La Nigeria sta a pochi giorni dall'approvare il disegno di legge "prigione ai gay" - una delle leggi anti-gay più dure viste mai al mondo. La proposta di legge comporterà 10 anni di carcere per due persone( dello stesso sesso) che abbiano il coraggio di tenersi per mano in pubblico.

• Vivi con qualcuno del tuo stesso sesso ? - 10 anni di carcere
• Organizzi un raduno di persone gay ? - 10 anni di carcere
• Sosteni l'idea di una marcia di Orgoglio Gay ( Gay Pride) ? - 10 anni di carcere

Dopo un anno di soste nella House of Assembly, il disegno di legge "prigione ai Gays"  è stato posto in discussione/votazione in fretta e furia con zero preavviso L'unico blocco prima che diventi legge è una firma del Presidente Goodluck Jonathan
L'anno scorso, 65.000 di noi erano contro questa legge. ed essa è stata lasciata da parte!
Potete prendervi un attimo per aiutarci a farlo di nuovo? Ci vuole solo un minuto, ma potrebbe cambiare la storia:

Quando il disegno di legge è stato introdotto, i politici hanno detto che non c'erano persone omosessuali nel loro paese.

I nostri amici in Nigeria hanno detto che non subiranno tutto ciò supinamente -   loro hanno un piano e  stanno chiedendo il nostro aiuto ora, si stanno organizzando per dare una risposta senza precedenti con i sostenitori africani -. sia etero che gay -. che oggi si schierano contro questa legge, stiamo dimostrando che le persone LGBT nigeriane non solo esistono, ma che il mondo intero ha la schiena ben dritta.

Vuoi stare con nigeriani contro questa legge odiosa e aiutarci a raggiungere 100.000 firme?

L'unico modo per fermare questo disegno di legge è quello far sentire forte le voci nigeriane per la parità - supportate  da quelle di milioni in tutto il mondo. Il Presidente Jonathan può porre il veto alla proposta di legge - e se sente queste voci assieme a quelle nigeriane, dovrà.

Sappiamo che siamo in grado di indirizzare il messaggio giusto ad ogni governo e agli organi di stampa di tutto il mondo per assicurarci che il presidente Goodluck Jonathan conosca che il suo popolo e i loro alleati non tollereranno che sottoscriva la trasformazione in legge del presente disegno di legge.
