Description: This is the launch of a critical edition by Dr Douglas Pretsell featuring the 41 case studies in the psychiatric/sexological works of Richard von Krafft-Ebing that contain autobiographic elements. The bulk of the these came from same sex attracted men and many of those in the form of letters disputing the pathologization of sexuality. Women did not send in letters, so the small number of autobiographies were written in the clinic. Finally, there were three eycatching case studies from individuals we might identify today as transgender.

Descrizione: Questo è il lancio di un'edizione critica del dottor Douglas Pretsell che presenta i 41 studi di casi nelle opere psichiatriche/sessuologiche di Richard von Krafft-Ebing che contengono elementi autobiografici. La maggior parte di questi proveniva da uomini attratti dallo stesso sesso e molti di quelli sotto forma di lettere che contestavano la patologizzazione della sessualità.
